Braden Adams

Braden Adams, a memory athlete from Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada, discovered memory sports in January 2016. After reading “Moonwalking With Einstein,” he quickly dived into the sport, winning his first competition within six weeks by memorizing a deck of cards in under five minutes. This marked the beginning of a journey that saw him finish as the runner-up in the 2017 Canadian Memory Championships and clinch the top spot among Canadians at the inaugural IAM Canadian Championship in 2018. Braden’s prowess continued as he won the inaugural Canadian Mind Sports Association National Memory Championship in 2018, a title he successfully defended in 2019, 2022, and 2023, setting numerous national records along the way.

Outside the competitive arena, Braden works as a public servant in the social sector, dedicating time to his wife and two young children. His life isn’t just about family and memory sports; he indulges in a range of passions and hobbies. From the intense energy of heavy metal music and live concerts to weightlifting, playing retro video games, watching movies, and following his favorite sports teams, Braden’s interests are as diverse as they are engaging. In a charity event, he made an ambitious attempt to memorize 70 decks of cards, successfully recalling 3,636 out of 3,640 cards over a grueling 14.5-hour period, highlighting his commitment to the World of memory sports.
